Dating back to about the 5th Century AD, these large carved crosses were highly decorated with spirals, curves and patterns.It is the characteristic symbol of Celtic Christianity, though it may have older, pre-Christian origins. Some historians will point out that the Celtic Cross was also known as a Sun Cross or Sun Wheel and was a symbol of Odin, the Norse god. Presented here using a special silver metallic ink on a black shirt.
